Axenia - ECC-4000

Overview

The ECC-4000 is a ground server implementing the Data Collecting System (DCS) defined by EN 50463. It receives, analyzes, archives and further distributes energy billing data sent by on-board Data Handling Systems using the protocol described in the EN 50463 standard.

Incoming data is validated against a set of predefined rules, archived in the system databases, and, if needed, forwarded to target exchange servers. A user web interface allows browsing the collected data and exporting it for further machine processing.

Designed for fast processing of incoming data from up to 1200 communication units
Data reception over FTP, SFTP, HTTP or HTTPS per EN 50463-4
Validation of incoming data against EN 50463 requirements, including position, voltage and current range checks
Automatic data exchange with settlement systems based on the IRS 90930 standard
Unit commissioning, configuration management and firmware distribution through the web interface
Energy tracking analysis extension for statistical reports and charts
Two-tier archiving: an object database for current system state and a segmented relational database for historical data, stored on SSD drives in RAID 1
Modular design allowing extension with third-party APIs for data exchange with established customer systems
Operated on customer infrastructure or as a managed service

Standards and terminology

The ECC-4000 implements the ground-side communication of the EN 50463 series, in particular EN 50463-4 (communication), and the IRS 90930 standard for data exchange with settlement systems.
